Advocating for Every Child’s Right to Thrive

As a mother of three incredible boys, my journey into advocacy began not in a courtroom or a boardroom, but in my own living room—with my son who is autistic. Navigating the world through his eyes opened mine in ways I never expected. I quickly learned that while every child is unique, not every system is built to support that uniqueness. And so, I became a voice—not just for my son, but for countless other children and families who deserve to be seen, heard, and supported.

Advocacy, for me, is deeply personal. It’s the late nights researching IEP laws, the early mornings writing emails to school administrators, and the countless meetings where I’ve had to speak up—sometimes loudly—for what my child needs to succeed. It’s also the quiet moments: comforting another parent who feels overwhelmed, sharing resources, or celebrating small victories that feel monumental.

Over the years, I’ve stood beside families as they fought for classroom accommodations, inclusive programs, and compassionate understanding. I’ve worked to ensure that educators, policymakers, and communities recognize that “fair” doesn’t always mean “equal”—it means giving each child what they need to thrive.

Being a mom to three boys has taught me that every child has their own rhythm, their own strengths, and their own challenges. My advocacy is rooted in the belief that no child should be limited by a system that wasn’t designed with them in mind. Every child deserves access to opportunity, dignity, and a future filled with possibility.

This mission is not just about my son—it’s about all children who learn, communicate, and experience the world differently. I will continue to advocate until every child is not only included, but celebrated.
